Lindsey Silberman
Born and raised in Chester County into a creative family, artistic expression has become somewhat innate for me. Encouraged as a child to pursue my interests, I found great freedom of creativity at home. Some of my favorite things as a child were exploring my grandmother’s rock collection, traveling to places such as Ireland and Venice, and collecting all sorts of jewelry along the way. From early on I saw life through the eyes of an artist.
I have always had a need to create, and throughout this pursuit I’ve explored a variety of mediums. Drawing has always been my main passion until I began making jewelry as a hobby. This passion brings together all the things I love.
While studying art history and psychology at West Chester University, I made and sold jewelry on the side. After graduating, the urge to create remained strong as I continued designing new pieces. Klimt, Matisse, and Mucha have influenced me, although my inspiration comes from the stones I select, as well as patterns, color, and texture. I use all sterling silver and 14k gold-filled materials, as well as semi-precious stones, Venetian, and art glass. Each piece I create is always unique and one of a kind.
